Applicability

Payment Obligations

• Contractor/Subcontractor Responsibility:Contractors and sub-contractors bear the responsibility for paying wages to each worker employed as contract labor.
• Payment Oversight:Payments to contract labor must be made in the presence of an authorized representative of the Principal Employer. In case of payment delays or short payments by the Contractor/Subcontractor, the Principal Employer becomes liable to pay the full wages or the unpaid balance to the contract labor.
